The Shire London - The only golf course in the UK designed by the great Seve Ballesteros
The Summer Social - Volume 2 is a curated event with a 18-hole pairs - better ball competition, shotgun start, music, food, drink and on course challenges activated by our event partners.
Golf is for anyone who loves the game, however they play, however they look.
The Overview
£125.00 per player
- Bespoke, exclusive gifts for every player
- Breakfast on arrival with a 2-course post round meal
- Multiple on & off course challenges with amazing prizes up for grabs
- After party with live DJs, drinks & competitions to keep the festivities going late into the evening
The Course
The Shire London, St Albans Road, Barnet, Herts, EN5 4RE
The Masters Course has many unforgettable holes, often challenging you with a shot over water, and none more so than 18 – where course architect Seve Ballesteros literally stamped his initial on this beautiful, serene part of England.
It’s S-shaped lake the ultimate challenge on one of the country’s most demanding closing holes.
The Arrival Lounge
The event kicks-off at 9:30am, allowing players to register, collect their curated gift bag and enjoy a breakfast bap in the clubhouse.
With a shotgun gun start, once you’ve made it to your starting hole the claxon will get everyone underway as the clock strikes 11.
The Competition - Pairs Better Ball
Each golfer independently plays their own ball throughout the round, the team's score per hole is determined by the higher points earned by either of the two individual players in Stableford format.
You’ll need to have a handicap of 28 or less & will be playing off a 90% allowance. Handicaps will be adjusted in line with course/slope rating and reduced by the percentage allowance stated above.
There will be 2 handicap divisions and therefore a The Summer Social crown for the winners of both leagues 1 & 2.
The Summer Social Event Partners & Prizes
With the main prizes going to each division Winner, there shall also be awards for both 2nd place finishers, longest drive (Lads & Ladies) and closest to the pin.
On course challenges and further prizes will be available on our featured holes, hosted by members of the The Summer Social family.
Drinks partner Drop-Project Brewery will be offering a selection of beers for on-course refreshments.
The After Party
With music playing throughout the day, all players will be able to tuck into a 2 course sit down meal with a variety of cuisine options available. Carriages aren’t until 11:00pm so you’ll be able to enjoy our live DJs until late in to the evening.
With a limited number of tickets available, you wont want to miss out on Volume II of The Summer Social.
